Equipment and Methods for the Solid-liquid Separation of Animal and Poultry Slurries

Separation of solid from liquid of animal slurries is becoming more important as a method for treatment and utilization of animal and poultry slurries. The basic principle for solid -liquid separation of animal and poultry slurries is introduced, the performance of separation equipment developed at home and abroad such as stationary screen, vib-erating screen, press belt filter and decanter are described, and the proposals for developing more cheaper and practical separators are made in this paper.
