    Surface Water Movement in Surge Border Irrigations on Loess Plateau:Laboratory Experiment and Numerical Simulation

    • The surface water movement under surge border irrigation is considered. According to indoor experiment for surge irrigations, a corresponding mathematical model was established, which showed a good covariance to the experiment data while used for numerical simulation. Moreover, the general characteristics of surface flow under surge border irrigation are analized with the measured and predicted values.
