    Computer Simulation for the Parallelogram Linkage of Precision Planter Unit(PLPPU)

    • The mathematical model of PLPPU, which is used to control planting depth, is constructed. This model expresses the relationship between the planting depth and the parameters of PLPPU. The computer simulates this model.The results of the computer simulation show that the behaviours of PLPPU are influenced by parameters separately each to different extent. These parameters are interrelated and complexly affect the performance of PLPPU. The most obvious interrelation can be seen among planting speed, distance between contour wheels and openers, and opener types.
