Abstract
In this paper, a method for multi-objective decision making is presented. The assessment of weights is based on the interval judgements which indicate ranges of the relative importance of the objectives. Then, the multi-objective decision making can be converted into a series of linear programming problems. The solution for a decision problem will be improved as decision makers provide more information. This method is applied to selecting cross-combinations in rice breeding. The results are satisfactory.
