Fractal Dimensions and Spatial and Temporal Variability of Soil Properties

    • Fractal dimension is the most important concept and idea in fractal theory, and a chief index in measuring fractals. A few classical fractals and calculations of fractal dimensions were described. The defect of the traditional statistical method in analysing the spatial and temporal variability of soil properties (STVSP) , was pointed out, and some fractal dimension in STVSP. It was predected that fractal dimensions would be widely used in STVSP.
