Survey and Analysis of Rural Household Energy Consumption at Yangzhong County in Jiangsu Province

By means of stratification sampling, 384 rural households were selected at random from 12 villages to examine the state of rural household energy consumption in a survey. The questionaires include socio- economic situations, household energy consumption, household cooking attitudes towards fuel, and evaluation of local energy resources. This paper presents the level and structure of rural household energy consumption in Yangzhong County and analyzes the factors affecting energy consumption, based on the data from the survey. Moreover, the basic patterns and features of the energy consumption are discussed.
