Abstract
Controlling air pollution in the hatching house of hatchery was the main objective of this study. Through environmental measurements, chicken fluff and hydrogen sulfide gas in the hatching house were confirmed to be the primary contaminants. Based on the measurement, a mathmatical model for simulating change of air pollutant concentration in the hatching house was established by the principle of mass balance. Based on the model, an air-water purification system was designed. Practical tests indicated that removal rates of chicken fluff and hydrogen sulfide gas were 81. 93% and 32. 7 % respectively. The result built the basis of studying air purification in hatchery and poultry house.
