    Study on Soil Strength With Microwave Reflection Loss

    • The soil behavior when exposed to microwave under controlled laboratory conditions was investigated. Tests were conducted with four types of artificial soils and one natural soil type.The effects of moisture content, soil type, density of soil and microwave frequency on microwave re-flection loss were examined. These variables were found to influence the microwave reflection loss. The results show a definite correlation between the microwave reflection loss and soil strength expressed in term of cone index.
