Abstract
By analysing and comparing of existing aerating devices, on the basis of two-film theory, a new kind of three-pipe spurting aerating device is designed, the effects of parameters concerned on aerating functions are studied and regression equations set up. The results of the experiments and regressions show that main factors affecting the functions of the aerator are the ratio of section intake of air, depth of aeration and types of mixing chamber and spreader. An optimal aerating efficiency exists when the ratio of section is choiced appropriately. The increasing of the intake of air and the depth of aeration can also raise aerating efficiency, meanwhile, the types of mixing chambers and spreaders have marked effects on the aerating efficiency. In addition, an experiment on waste water treatment with this device as carried out, with good results. Thus, a new kind of highly-efficienc aerating device for the treatment of waste water was achieved.
