    Experiment Study on the Pyrolysis of Agricultural Biomass

    • The effect of temperature, material retention time (RT) and heating rate on the yield of pyrolysis products is studied based on the following agricultural biomass materials: corn stalk,cotton stalk, wheat straw and rice straw. The experiment results showed that the pyrolysis temperature in 500~600℃ and RT in the range of 6~8 minutes are appropriate, the wt% of pyrolysis products such as combustible gas, charcoal and wood tar 40. 2%, 34. 7% and 25. 1% respectively. The heat value of gas and charcoal is 12. 88 MJ/m3 and 25 MJ/kg respectively, organic constituents in the condensate include CH3COOH, CH3OH, methyl-benzene, phenol,ortho-xylene phenol and fur-fural-dehyde.
