    • The quantitative quality detection of tobacco leaf was studied with digital image processing technology and colorimetry theory. CIE 1931 standard colorimetry system and Munsell color system were used to analyze color quantitatively. The description and abstraction of characters such as size, shape, surface feature, vein and injury by image processing method were studied. The theory basis for developing quality inspecting and grading instrument for tobacco leaf was provided.
