    Study on Correlations Between Dielectric Properties and Freshness of Apples

    • Correlations were studied between the dielectric properties and the freshness of the JINSHUAI-apple tissues with the plate electrode and the method of destructive measurement.The experimental results showed that the equivalent impedance value for apple tissues will increase, the values of dielectric constant and loss of apple tissues will decrease during storage at frequencies of 100 Hz to 100 kHz. The correlations between the dielectric properties and freshness of the apples are evident at frequencies of 10 to 100 kHz.
