Study on Cavitation Erosion of Cooling Water Passage Near Gears Chamber in Diesel Engine

In this paper, the cavitation erosion of cooling water passage near gears chamber in 4JA1 type diesel engine was studied by means of modal analysis technique and mechanical vibration measurement. The structural parameters of gears chamber were modified according to dynamic analysis, then the cavitation erosions of water flow passage were lessened evidently.
