Combining the forecasting of finish size of machined parts with the forecasting of process capability in a machining process, a principle and method of feedback compensative control is proposed in this paper. The results of computer simulation on an experimental machining data series show that the finish size can be effectively controlled within desired tolerance, and the occurrence of unqualified products can be avoided.
