Abstract
his paper studies a kind of casehardening technology that Ni-WC-base alloy powder is sprayed or coated on steel and then it is clad by O2-C2H2 flame or high frenquency induction current to produce the Ni-base alloy cladding layers strengthened by WC. The results show that the cladding layers, whose depths are from 1.5 to 1.7 mm, have welding joint with steel bed. The wear resistance of the cladding layers is improved along with the increase of WC content. Compared with boride layers, the wear resistance separately increases by 32% and 659% when WC content is 30% and 40% respectively. The technology is effective for strengthening the surface of metals, especially the parts of farm machinery.
