Study on Application of Vegetable Oils to DI Diesel Engines

This paper describes the development of DI diesel engines running on vegetable oils. The influences of physical and chemical properties of vegetable oils on diesel combustion and the adaptability of combustion system with fuels are analyzed. The characteristics and performances of 382TC high speed oilcooled DI diesel engine are explained in detail. This study is of importance to saving fossil oil and protecting earth environment.
