Composition and Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Plug Seedling Media of Vegetables

The physical and chemical characteristics of light media and complex media， which are local cheap materials in Qingdao, were studied in this experiment. The results indicated that the complex media can completely replace expensive peat moss for plug seedlings of vegetables in physical and chemical characteristics of them. Therefore, the cost of raising plug seedlings can be largely decreased and the populization of the plug seedling technique can be accelerated.
