    • It is predicted that in the next century, water shortage in agriculture will be aggravated by the decrease in the capacity of existing projects, the warmingup of the climate and water pollution which threatens service discharge and water quality. The competition for available water supplies will be intensified. To overcome the crisis, the agriculture of watersaving irrigation should be developed which involves such sectors as hydraulic projects, farming and management. To popularize watersaving irrigation, different regions should develop appropriate techniques and management in line with their own distinctions.
