Application of Morphological Image Processing inStem Location and Edge Detection of Apple Automatic Grading

This paper points out the significance of stemlocation in apple automatic grading system, lists four representative stem location methods. Every method has its advantage and disadvantage. Then itpresents an algorithm using morphological image processing which can detect stem more efficiently, and it also can detect image edge. At last the paper evaluates the algorithm and improves to increase processing speed.
