    Study on Airlift Loop Reactor(ALR) With Low Ratio of Height to Diameter

    • The purpose and methods of studying ALR were introduced in brief. The special designed nozzle and baffle were set to enhance the mixing and mass transfer property of ALR, and it was made the ratio of height to diameter reduce to 3. Compared with the mechanical stirring reactor, the behaviors of gas holdup,liquid circulation and mass transfer of ALR were tested and studied. The results showed that the behaviors of the two kinds of reactors were almost the same. The ALR with volume of 250L was designed and produced to be used to the fermentation of Compound Enzyme.
