Study on the Correlation of Total Organic Carbon With Chemical Oxygen Demand and Biochemical Oxygen Demand in Water

    • Total organic carbon (TOC) can reflect the water pollution situation perfectly. It has characteristics of simple operation, quick velocity, accurate result. This paper studied the relationship between total organic carbon (TOC) and chemical oxygen demand(CODCr) and biological oxygen demand(BOD5) .The correlated coefficient of TOC and CODCr was 0.991 8 and that of TOC and BOD5 was 0.936 2. That can be used to estimate the pollution situation in water.
