Abstract
The airflow function, flow pattern and its pressure formula of the rotating airflow around the stripping rotor were theoretically analyzed based on the field measurement. The research showed that the rotating airflow pattern is a circulatory flow. The nearer measured point approaches the core, the faster the airflow velocity becomes and the lower the statics head becomes. That is why the rotating stripping rotor can absorb nearby materials. Furthermore, the effect of the hood on the characteristics of the circulatory flow was experimentally explored. The results showed that the airflow under the rotor is nearly the same as the one without hood, so the stripping rotor can absorb the below materials. However, the airflow gets separated from the rotor gradually after it come into the hood, therefore the inner airlow velocity becomes lower and lower, while the outer one becomes higher and higher. This change of the airflow field is favourable to enhancing stripping performance and decreasing grain loss.
