Abstract
At the condition of continuous direct current, the increasing of local resistance and electrochemical reaction between electrodes and material hinder the proceeding of electroosmotic dewatering. The electric field with equivalent pulse-time ratio (AC) and electric field with unequal pulse-time ratio (EFUPTR) were used to improve dewatering rate. The distribution of electric field strength and the variation of electrical current were also analyzed. The method of EFUPTR is very effective to enhance electroosmotic dewatering rate.
