Regional Comparison of the Development of Agricultural Mechanization in China

    • The significance of study on regional comparison of the development of agricultural mechanization was analyzed in this paper. Based on investigation and analysis of the status of agricultural mechanization development in China, the development level and the appropriate technology for different regions in China were analyzed, compared and evaluated. It was found that there are distinct contrasts resulted from the differences of natural, social & economic and technological conditions. The development in the north of China is more advanced than that in the south of China. The agricultural mechanization level in the southwest of China is the lowest. The four different regions in China were divided by using comprehensive evaluation and calculation of regional fuzzy classification model. Some conclusions were drawn on regional unbalance and some suggestions were put forward, such as to realize the agricultural mechanization in China guiding differently according to the north, central and south regions. The developing strategies, i.e., regional decision, classified implementation, key point breaking and gradual promotion based on the status of agricultural mechanization in China were also proposed.
