Feasibility Research on Seed Coating in Industrialized Rice Seedling Raising

    • Rice seeds were coated in a two year experiment, in order to meet the requirements of precision sowing in the process of industrialized seedling raising. The experiment was conducted in 8 batches in a plastic dome. The results indicated that the traditional seed soaking and pregermination can be omitted because of seed coating. Thus simplifying the procedure of seedling raising, facilitating mechanical precision sowing, and helping realize industrialized seedling raising can be achieved. The seedlings raised in such a way proved to be up to the standards of healthy and vigorous seedlings with good agronomic characters.
