    Separation Methods and Extracting Technology of Baicalin

    • Baicalin is one of the main ingredients with activity in Scutellaria baicalensis Georg. How to improve the obtaining ratio and content of Baicalin in extracting process is always a problem in practical production. The effect of three traditional extracting methods (controlled temperature water immersing, decoction and controlled temperature alkali added water immersing method) on obtaining ratio and content of Baicalin were studied. According to the characteristic of easy solubility under alkalinity condition of Baicalin, the extracting effect and process of Baicalin by means of alkali ion function water are compared. The results show that the alkali ion function water method is better than that of traditional methods in terms of obtaining ratio and content of Baicalin. Besides, the effect of different impurities removing methods, acidity deposit method and washing deposit method on improving obtaining ratio and content of Baicalin were also studied in detail.
