On the Agenda of Agricultural Engineering in China in the 21^st Century

Different predictions on food as well as water safety in the bottle neck period (2000～2030) in China's history were reviewed, the specific functions of a Chinese modern agriculture capable of negotiating with the issues were advanced, and high priority agricultural engineering technology development work in support of the modernization of Chinese agriculture and the implementation of the state eco environment rehabilitation program (2000～2050) were listed. International collaboration and joint venture in the development of appropriate technology for specific local conditions in the high priority areas as named are recommended for its potentially highest market share in the future.
