Application of Thermal Pipe Heat-Exchangers to Waste Heat Recycling in Closed Hen House

Abstract
In northern China the air quality in the most of hen house is poor due to a closed construction to keep out the cold wind during a long period of winter. However, an enforced ventilation to improve air quality brings about lower inside temperature. The differences in temperature and humidity between the odor air inside and fresh air outside came into being, which can reuse the waste heat. The difference in temperature reached 10~25℃, and the difference in relative humidity reached above 30%.In the article the thermal pipe heat-exchangers were put forward to recover the waste heat from closed hen house in winter to resolve contradiction between ventilation and heat preservation. Over 50% of the waste heat could be utilized to heat the fresh air from outside, the high temperature fresh air were blown into hen house by fan. In the paper heat transfer and flow resistance calculation were made, an automation program was developed and the parameters were optimized. The result of the experiments indicated that the heat efficiency(temperature efficiency) of thermal pipe heat-exchangers system reached 50%~65% in hen house. The application of thermal pipe heat-exchangers brought about saving energy, saving forage and enhancing egg productive efficiency.
