Exploration of Wavelet Analysis in Fault Diagnosis of Vehicle Gearbox

The gear fault diagnosis of a gearbox was studied with the wavelet analysis method in this paper. Multi-level wavelet decomposition of real signal was performed by orthogonal discrete wavelet transform. As a result, the impacting signal which changes suddenly and the stable periodic signal which takes on some property of certain frequency were better illustrated, which could provide theoretical basis for analysis of fault diagnosis of vehicle gearbox.
