Transient Condition and Influence of Pumps in Water Transfer System

On the basis of hydraulic model experiments of part pipeline in divert water engineering from the Yellow River to the Shanxi Province, by means of numerical calculation, transient condition of pumps were obtained. Transient condition characters relate to initial flowrate and regulate rangeability. Transient condition of pumps have influence on flow in system. Surge tank in system can reservior transient flowrate and dampen out transient pressure head. This achievement provided an example for similar design research and calculation.
