Abstract
A process of isolating taxol from the bark of Taxus Yunnanensis, which includes extracting the bark with 95% ethanol, extracting the extract with trichloromethane, silica gel column chromatography, decolorizing with activated carbon and recrystallization, was magnified. The operating parameters in the process were optimized. 5000 kg of bark was processed in this work. 680 g crude taxol with a purity of 62.5% was produced. The yield rate was over 70%.
