    Experimental Research on Unconfined Compression Strength of Soil

    • The unconfined compression strength of soil was measured. The results showed that soil bulk density and moisture content are the main factors affecting the unconfined compression strength. In the meantime, the relationships between compression strength and bulk density and moisture content were confirmed respectively. On the basis of analysis of the micro-mechanism of soil cpmpression strength, a mathematical model of soil compression strength-bulk density-moisture content was established.
