Farmland Innovation in Taiwan Region and Its Socioeconomic Benefits

The farmland use system reform in Taiwan Region—farmland innovation is introduced, which is aimed at getting rid of the difficulties of scattered small cultivated land, inconvenient irrigation, water dischargement and mechanized operation hindering agricultural production development. The law and regulations on farmland innovation were formulated in Taiwan Region, and the working procedures were formed in detail. The government of Taiwan Region undertook two-thirds of the expenses for realizing farmland innovation. The foundation for realizing agricultural mechanization and modernization is laid, which meets the demand for grain production and promotes the economic development in Taiwan Region.
