Effects of Plastic Film Mulching on Temperature Increase and Preservation of Soil Moisture and Its Responses to Growth Character of Rice with Dry-land Cultivation

    • The effects of plastic film mulching on temperature increase and preservation of soil moisture were studied in rice field under dry land cultivation. The results show that the soil temperature was markedly raised and the soil moisture kept high by means of plastic film mulching. The tillering at early stage was more exuberant than that under dry land cultivation without plastic film mulching and wetland cultivation, and the exuberant period of tillering was more earlier. The rice yield under dry land cultivation with plastic film mulching was higher than that without plastic film mulching, which increased by 48.1%~108.9%.
