Abstract
During winter and spring irrigation, because of the variations in irrigation water source, irrigation manner and irrigation time, the irrigation water will be at different temperatures as it flowed into the farm land. Under the same irrigation rate, the water will have different heat capacity, which results in different soil temperature distribution, and affects the infiltration characteristics of frozen soil. During the freezing period, the infiltration experiments were conducted and the infiltration characteristics of the frozen soil under different water temperatures were obtained. The results show that the infiltration water temperature has strong influence on infiltration into frozen soil, the infiltration capacity enhanced with the water temperature increasing. It would provide basis for determining reasonable irrigation parameters within the winter and spring irrigation in seasonal frozen areas.
