Hardening Layer by Boride for Casting Iron

In this paper, the manufactural process of a new technique about hardening the casting iron surface by boride was studied. The effects of the factors, such as the kind of melting agent, binding agent, the casting temperature and the size of alloying powder and so on, on the hardening were analyzed. Moreover, the microstructure of the hardening layer was also studied.
