Wastewater Purifying Technology of Intensive Aquiculture Greenhouse: A Case Study on an Automatically Controlled Ecological Greenhouse

    • Under intensive pisciculture conditions, the problem of how to purify and reuse the large amount of animal-breeding sewage has become a bottleneck that limits the development of pisciculture. Through an innovative engineering design, our research enabled us to grow several kinds of aquatic animals and plants in an automatically controlled ecological greenhouse in a high density, intensive and water-saving manner. The fish-raising sewage may be circularly reused after it is absorbed by Azolla and vegetables, as well as undergoing comprehensive treatment for water purification. This greenhouse system did not let out breeding sewage to the environment, so it not only saved a lot of water, but also doubly increased the growing density without causing environmental pollution.
