    Experimental Study of Abattoir Wastewater Treatment by Anaerobic Sequencing Batch Reactor

    • Anaerobic Sequencing Batch Reactor(ASBR) is a new type of anaerobic reactor. In this paper, ASBR was used to treat abattoir wastewater. The study focused the influence on the efficiency of CODcr of ASBR process as well as the influence on the efficiency of removal rate of CODcr exterted by pH value, anaerobic reaction time, temperature, impact load. The result showed that the most important factors were the methods of agitation, temperature, reaction time and the removal efficiency of CODcr reached 75%, when influent CODcr was 1 100~3 000 mg/L, anaerobic reaction time was 24 h. The optimal conditions of ASBR for treating abattoir wastewater is as follows: using intermission agitation method, SV30=35%~46%, temperature 25~35℃, react time 24 h, impact load 0.2~0.5 kg/(kg MLSS.d).
