Investigation and discussion of drip irrigation under mulch in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

Drip irrigation under mulch is a combination of drip irrigation with plastic-film mulching. The mulch can reduce evaporation, and drip irrigation can supply water which results in a decrease of water loss. The paper particularly discusses the development of drip irrigation under mulch and its application in Xinjiang. Complications arising when it is used in different types of areas are analyzed, which will be helpful for the development of drip irrigation under mulch technology in China.
