Abstract
In order to understand the relationship between greenhouse gas emission of layer-hen manure and its effects, four sorts of different disposal methods were implemented. Layer-hen manure was put into a closed bin composting system and the gas sample was obtained through a valve in the closed bin. This experiment took place between September 25, 2001 and October 24, 2001. Gas samples were analysed for concentration of carbon dioxide(CO2), methane(CH4), and nitrous oxide(N2O). Combining the measured data of temperature, humidity, wind speed, and organic matter content, the results showed that carbon dioxide emission flux is very big under negative pressure ventilating, and has a correlation with temperature. Methane emission flux is lower because oxygen content is high in layer-hen manure. Under conditions of higher oxygen content the primary resource of nitrous oxide is nitration.
