Present situation, development prospect and science and technology support of the agro-product processing industry of China

The agro-product processing industry is one of the most important pillar industries in the national economy of China, which has great developing prospects. The present situation in China was introduced. The major problems restricting the development of the agro-product processing industry in China were analyzed. The development prospects and direction of the agro-product processing industry were highlighted. These pillar enterprises should be guided by market forces, optimize product proportion, and develop the raw material production base. As well, the supporting role of science and technology to the agro-product processing industry of China was elaborated in this paper.
