Research advances in transplanting mechanism of rice transplanter

Transplanting mechanism is the main part of a transplanter, its performance determines the transplanting quality, reliability and number of transplants per minute. In this paper, research advances on two main kinds of transplanting mechanisms (crank and rocker-arm mechanism and planetary gears mechanism) were summarized, and the advantages and disadvantages of them were pointed out. At the same time, the direction for further study in this field was provided.
