    Case study of using computerized simulation model in land-use research on Loess Plateau

    • Aimed at the sustainable land use on Hilly-Gully region of Loess Plateau, the computerized simulation model APEX and AV-Swat were introduced and revised. The applicability was validated using GIS technology and experimental data of Zhifanggou small watershed. The values of soil and water erosion, crop productivity and biomass were simulated, the results show that the difference is less than 10% between the measured values and simulated ones of soil and water erosion; and there is no significant differences between actual yields and simulated ones. The model could be used in the sustainable land use research of large-scale area.
