    Photoelectric controlled metering device of electromagnetic vibrating type

    • In view of low accuracy, low stability and consistency, and narrow range for seed quantity adjustment of the present metering devices, a photoelectric controlled metering device of electromagnetic vibrating type was developed with single-chip computer PIC16F877 being its key part. Adoption of photoelectric control technology makes it possible that the metering device can drill 1~125 seeds per working cycle. The seed quantity metered per working cycle can be optionally set through changing on/off state of each switch, a binary mode. The stability and consistency of the metering device designed were greatly improved. The designed metering device can easily adjust seed quantity as required and can also drill seeds step by step or continuously as required. Tested results show that the metering device can reach high accuracy: rate of 1 seed per hill is more than 98% and rate of missing is 0.
