    Effect of esterified modified konjac glucomannon on SO2 adsorption and bacteriostasis in air

    • The konjac glucomannon was used as the experimental material in this paper. The effect of esterified modified konjac glucomannon (KGM) by benzoic acid, acetic acid and gallic acid on SO2 adsorption and bacteriostasis in air was studied. The conditions such as temperature,pH value and time of esterified modification of konjac KGM to maximize the SO2 adsorption and bacteriostasis are described. The conditions for esterifying konjac KGM were optimized and the natural,macromolecular,organic air purificant for adsorbing SO2 and bacteriostasis in air was obtained. It is showed that the conditions for incubation of modifying KGM were temperature 50℃, pH 3.0, time 2 h with benzoic acid. The rate of SO2 adsorption was 98.7%, the rate of bacteriostasis was 86.3%.
