  • The main aim of this paper is to study on technology of magnetic filed non-thermal sterilization using a self-designed generator of magnetic field. The Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and Escherichia Coli as the object microorganism, the effect of the magnetic flux density, the time of magnetic field pole conversion on the destruction rate of microorganism was probed. The kinetics of the magnetic field sterilization to Saccharomyces Cerevisiae was investigated. The results showed that 1) the magnetic flux density had a certain influence on the destruction rate of the object microorganism. The magnetic flux densities which had the greatest effect on the destruction rate of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and Escherichia Coli were 1.5 T, 1 T respectively. 2) The original concentration of Escherichia Coli and the magnetic flux density influence the destruction rate at a very significant level. The greatest destruction rate of Escherichia Coli was 78% under 8 hours magnetic flied (1 T) treatment. 3) The kinetics equation of this sterilization for the object microorganism could be described as a first-order chemical reaction.
