    Model development and simulation of an automatic height control system for a stripper header

    • This paper introduces a height adjustment control system, based on a PID control algorithm, for the stripper header of the 4LS-150 model stripper harvester. The 4LS-150 model stripper harvester hydraulic lift device was analyzed and the principle of electro-hydraulic proportional control was explained. A mathematical model of a hydraulic control system for the stripper header height adjustment was developed. With simulation and correction of the transfer function using MATLAB, satisfactory control results were obtained.
