Abstract
With the development of the technology of plastic-film mulch, higher performance is demanded from the spiral cylindrical sealer. The cylindrical sealer is an important part of the plastic-film mulch seeder. Optimizing the number and angle of spiral battens has a great influence on seeding quality. In this paper, the angle of the spiral battens in the cylindrical sealer was researched and optimized. According to the analysis, a reasonable range for parametric optimization was presented, which may provide a theoretical basis for a new design and further improvement of the spiral cylindrical sealer.
