Contribution of rural renewable energy development to greenhouse gas reduction in China

Abstract
Based on the existing national and international research on greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction and other studies on energy, this paper analyzes the GHG emission co-efficiencies from fuel combustion and CH4 emission co-efficiencies from animal waste and works out the systematic and feasible CO2 and CH4 calculation formulas that are suitable for the special features of rural renewable energy development in China. In addition, with the emission co-efficiencies and calculation formula, the paper presents the contribution of the renewable energy facilities and projects constructed in the whole China to national GHG emission reduction.
