Clean development mechanism (CDM) and the development of renewable energy

This paper gives a brief introduction to the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), main eligibility criteria of CDM projects, and rules for the operation of CDM, including related entities and their functions as well as the procedures of CDM project development and implementation. The opportunities that the CDM may bring to the development of renewable energy in China are also discussed. Finally, some conclusions and suggestions are put forward.
